The heat sneaks up on you after the chocolate melts, which is exactly what I wanted from a cayenne topping. I’ve already eaten half the bag in two sittings, and the 55% dark base keeps it from feeling too sweet.
The compostable bag is a nice touch, and these little discs are dangerously easy to snack on—the chocolate melts smooth before the cayenne heat lingers on your tongue. Vegan and gluten-free, but you'd never guess it from the rich, creamy texture.
The cayenne kick sneaks up right after the chocolate melts, which is a dangerously good combo. I’ve already gone through two bags just snacking straight from the packet, and the hand-piped discs have that nice uneven, homemade look to them.
